What steps can be taken to track down a scammer and determine their location?

Over the past three years or so, I have had a ‘relationship’ with 78 scammers for research purposes. Since I knew that they were scammers from the beginning, I have never lost any money to them despite their insistent efforts to empty my bank account. However, out of curiosity, I have occasionally used IPLogger to create a link, which determined their location.

I thus know that all of my scammers, who did not have a disguised VPN (usually MountainVew California or Sterling, Virginia, )were in Nigeria or Ghana. I even freaked one scammer out by taking an online walking tour through his city in Ghana ,and telling him about its most scenic spots. As for Nigeria, the cities where most of my scammers hang out are Lagos and Port Harcourt.

Go to the authorities in your country and present all of your evidence regarding your communication and transactions with the scammer …. and hope that they will do something (which they rarely do because of a lack of time and human resources).

According to my consultants, after spending even more money on fees, charges, and bribes, you will be infinitely poorer than when you started the process, and someone else (not you) will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Urgently get in touch with ‘trustworthy’ XXXX, who will magically get your money back in record time. (XXXX is, of course, one of the many scammers lurking on Quora who also wants your money).
